Positioning 2-3-2
Practice movement, quick decision-making, and defensive play. Mark out four squares, with one defender in each square. Defenders must not leave their square when the opponents have the ball. Attackers may only run along their designated lines (indicated by the arrows at the start of the drill). The objective of the drill is for the attackers to work the ball around and score. Defenders must attempt to cover, press, and intercept passes. Upon winning the ball, the defenders attack the nearest goal but must remain within their respective squares. Five attackers may now enter the playing area and defend freely.
